This was a German Civil Defense car which was imported to Canada in around 2000. The history of how this car is a bit hard to pin down but it goes something like this: It was given away as a contest grand prize by a Barrie, Ontario radio station and the winner of the contest passed it on to a Barrie businessman. It was then passed onto the current owner who met the Barrie owner while building his cottage in Penataguishine. How such a rare and unusual car came to pass through such an odd collection of hands is something of a mystery, but this is 1 of those 'barn find' stories that make the vintage car hobby interesting. We're still trying to establish how this German car came to Canada in the 1st place, will update the ad if more information surface. Regardless of the history, the incredible unmolested condition and low mileage speak volumes. Where to begin describing this car? The odometer reads 09,826 kilometers.
