About this Item
We are the worlds first free non-profit recording studio for youth. Musicians do a few hours of community service of their choice and we record them free of charge. Our studio, is supported by many of Canada?s top Juno award winning musicians, as well as community leaders. The nature of the productions will be creative out-of-the-box infomercials of actual sponsors, and community supporters of the studio, as well as videos of the musician themselves. It is our ultimate goal to establish live stream web casting direct from the studio.
Job Responsibilities:
- The use of 35mm digital SLR, Digital Video Cameras, Sound equipment and Video Lighting equipment
- Serve as lead for all video editing production following
- Utilize HD production background to edit and produce exciting, entertaining and an informative product
- Enhance the broadcast level of productions
- Initiate and coordinate brainstorming sessions with production teams, clients and intended audiences. Generate treatments and story boards
- Write detail shot list for production including an outline of equipment for each video session.
- Effectively manage and maintain an overall production schedule.
- Organize, inventory and maintain equipment hardware and software.
- Log and capture all media onto online server.
- Upload Final Cut Pro edited production to web formats and other video formats
- Make recommendations regarding hardware and software needs and requirements.
- Establish a regular maintenance and testing regiment for video/audio hardware and software equipment
Job Requirements:
- Working knowledge of set design
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere CS4, Avid, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, Adobe Creative Suite.
- Proficient in Photoshop CS3 - CS4
- At least 1 year experience in Photoshop CS3 or CS4
- Background in photography/photo styling/video helpful
- Willingness to travel frequently and work odd hours
- Will lift and carry equipment weighing up to 55 lbs
