ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

Our academic programs are designed to integrate each child's academic achievement with his or her development as an independent and socially aware individual. Our goal is to prepare each student so that he or she will be able to return to an appropriate academic environment, within the regular, private or public school sector.

Day School Program (Co-ed)

This program is geared to school-aged children who are not realizing their maximum potential within the mainstream or special education classroom environment.

Each student is academically assessed and provided with an individualized program geared to rehabilitate deficit skills. Class size varies from 12:1 pupil-teacher ratio to a 1:1 pupil-teacher ratio, depending on the exact needs of the student.

The Academy follows all provincial curriculum guidelines, and is regularly inspected by the Ministry of Education, private school sector.

One-to-One Secondary School Credit Program

This program is available to students who require a completely individualized academic setting to obtain Secondary School Credits.

The Academy adheres to all Ministry of Education Guidelines pertaining to both subject content and required hours of instruction. Inspection by the Ministry is carried out regularly to assure that all credits are granted upon program completion. This program runs evenings, weekends and throughout the summer.

One-to-One Remedial Teaching and Tutoring

Part-time remedial teaching is available for both elementary and secondary students who are experiencing some academic difficulty. Programs are designed for the individual student and help build basic skills and confidence. This program runs throughout the summer. There is an hourly rate for this program.
