Innovative and award-winning choreographer Crystal Pite’s work integrates original music, text, rich visual design, and a keen sense of wit and invention. Dark Matters is the result of Pite’s curiosity and fascination with the unseen forces at work on mind and body, and features six extraordinary dancers and a stunning original score from long-time collaborator Owen Belton.
Both the dark matter theorized by physicists and the darker matters that drive us as humans are beautifully embodied in this potent and affecting theatrical fable combining pure dance and puppetry. Dark Matters is a haunting portrait of the unknown presented through breathtaking movement.
