The Hill Academy was founded by experienced educator and athlete Peter Merrill, who is determined to produce a catalyst for change and growth in the Canadian academic and athletic system. Mr. Merrill extended knowledge and skill based in academics and athletics have allowed him to design a distinctive learning platform based on the following principles:

The Hill Academy provides the foundation for academic, athletic and personal development of male and female student athletes. The Academy's unique "Learn to Learn" approach offers a complete educational platform, linking the disciplines of athletics and academics. This allows each individual to develop at their own pace to maximize their full potential and reach the next level.

At The Hill Academy, each individual has the opportunity to become a successful student through the support of dedicated instructors in small classes, and a built-in sports and training schedule. The maximum of 15 to 1 student/teacher ratio ensures that each individual is given the proper attention to customize and balance the demands in the classroom and on the field.
Students at The Hill Academy can earn their Ontario Secondary School Diploma and will be supported by a broad range of courses, post-secondary counseling, SAT/ACT preparation and college scholarship services, ensuring the student has access to the best post secondary opportunity.
