United Synagogue Day School - Toronto Private School

Private Schools List in Toronto

USDS was founded in 1961 with one overriding goal: to maintain the highest degree of excellence in providing both academic skills for ongoing success and traditional Jewish education.

USDS is a member of the Solomon Schechter Day School Association and adopts the norms of Conservative Judaism. USDS welcomes students from diverse Jewish backgrounds and strives to be inclusive of families from a wide range of observance.

There are over 700 students from nursery to grade 8. We have two campuses to serve the Greater Toronto Area conveniently located at Bathurst south of Eglinton (at Beth Tzedec Congregation) and Bayview north of Sheppard (at Beth Tikvah Synagogue).
USDSdelivers an outstanding integrated General and Judaic Studies education to our students. We work to inspire excellence in each child.

We believe it is our responsibility to challenge and motivate our students in an environment that is interactive, technologically sophisticated and rich in active learning activities. In a variety of learning settings that extend beyond the classroom, a child’s interests and curiosities will work to guide a curriculum that has powerful knowledge goals and big ideas. The result is a student who graduates from USDS confident in their abilities and with a firm foundation in General and Judaic Studies.
In keeping with our "made-to-measure" learning approach, USDS coordinates and provides a comprehensive range of student services and programs.

These programs and services afford our students the enrichment, support and resources that allow them to truly demonstrate their learning power. Also, in consultation with our Educational Consultant, the founders of The Kinder Connection are involved with our Early Years Centre of Excellence.
